Statement:

I call my work “Phraseology.” It describes the utterances that ricochet around my head in random order, un-silenced by new reverberations that join the fray. These are verbal fixations that further disrupt the already scattered workflow of my brain. My artistic goal is to present these slice-by-slice dissections in a formal template, as a means of mapping, structuring and settling the mental chatter they create. Ultimately, it’s a fool’s errand to tame the cerebral cortex. There isn’t time, canvas or ink enough to stem the nagging insistence of thought. So it flows.

Biography:

2011 Featured Art David Squibb has a Bachelor of Fine Arts with high honors from the University of Tennessee. In addition to his pursuits as a visual artist, David is a copywriter, art director and is also the musical pied piper of a family band called Sherfey, with three independent albums to date. David creates at home in Boston.
